…and the rest of us can do it too. Those helpful lot at the New York City (NYC) Department of Health and Mental Hygiene have made an app called CalCutter to help New Yorkers cut the calories in their recipes.
According to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene website, you simply enter a recipe into the Calcutter app and the number of intended servings. It can then estimate the number of calories per servings and offer revisions to the recipe to lower them. These include different ingredients, different cooking methods or smaller portions.
Let’s hope it doesn’t rely on the last revision too heavily.
